Welcome to Art Goat. By creating an account and using our platform, you agree to the following terms. We keep these simple so you can get back to the studio.

1. The Service and Beta Status

Art Goat provides a curated database of funding opportunities and AI-assisted drafting tools to help artists streamline their administrative work. We are currently in a continuous state of development (Beta). While we strive for excellence, the platform may experience downtime, bugs, or feature changes without notice.

2. No Guarantee of Funding or Accuracy

Our Alignment Engine uses advanced AI to extract data from municipal websites, foundations, and galleries. However, organizations frequently change deadlines, budgets, and requirements without notice, and AI can occasionally misinterpret complex municipal texts.

• Your Responsibility: You are strictly responsible for verifying all deadlines, eligibility requirements, and submission guidelines on the official opportunity provider's website before applying.
• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that you will win any grant, residency, or commission you apply for using our tools. Art Goat is not liable for missed deadlines, rejected applications, or lost potential revenue.

3. Intellectual Property & Your Content

You retain 100% ownership of the artwork, project descriptions, and personal statements you upload to Art Goat. You also own the final grant proposals generated by our AI tools during your session. By uploading your materials, you grant us a limited, temporary license solely to process that data through our Alignment Engine to provide the service to you.

4. Protecting Our Database (Anti-Scraping)

We invest significant resources into discovering, extracting, and curating our database of opportunities. You agree to use this database for your personal career advancement only. You are strictly prohibited from using bots, web crawlers, scrapers, or any automated systems to extract our database or replicate our proprietary AI matching logic for commercial purposes or to build a competing product.

5. Account Security

Your account is for your individual use. You agree not to share your login credentials with other artists or institutions. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Art Goat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us (if any) to use the service during the one (1) month prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, particularly our anti-scraping policies, or if your use of the platform disrupts the service for other artists.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our platform evolves. We will notify you of any significant changes via the email associated with your account.
