Who Can Apply: Newly graduated fine artists from UK Higher Education institutions or alternative learning programmes who completed their degree in 2026
The Focus: Week-long residency in Crinan, Scotland, with studio space, mentorship from local artists, and professional exposure
The Funding: £500 stipend, £500 in art materials, complimentary accommodation with breakfast for one week
Key Requirements: Online application via Jotform with name, contact details, institution and graduation year, 500-word artist statement, and three JPEG/PNG work samples (under 5MB each) with title, medium, and size

Application notesSubmissions online only via Jotform. Any type of artwork is eligible, though Mall Galleries focuses on figurative art, especially painting, sculpture, printmaking, and drawing. Applicants encouraged who have not historically benefited from many opportunities to engage with Mall Galleries. Mentorship available from Frances Macdonald (artist and Crinan Hotel owner) and her artist son Ross Ryan.
