Who Can Apply: Scholars from any country with a significant professional record; must hold a PhD or demonstrate equivalent professional experience. May be employed full- or part-time, or be independent scholars, artists, curators, and/or critics.
The Focus: Research-based projects in art history, theory, interpretation, and visual culture; proposals that deepen, transform, or challenge current art-historical methods or enhance understanding of images in other humanities disciplines.
The Funding: $10,000 stipend; private apartment; office in Manton Research Center library; travel expense reimbursement.
Key Requirements: Online application form, CV, brief abstract (500 characters max), project description (750 words), proposed schedule for work during residency (250 words). All materials must be submitted in English.
