  • The Focus: Internships across museum departments (Communications, Collections, Curatorial, Director's Office, Development, Education, Visitor Experience) offering professional development, collection/exhibition work, curatorial research, fundraising, arts administration, museum education, and community engagement
  • Compensation: Paid internship with semesterly stipend distributed biweekly plus travel stipend for transportation to Museum office in Harlem

Application notesThe Summer 2026 cycle is closed, and no Fall 2026 internship is currently listed on the Museum's careers page. The Museum's internship FAQ states that spring applications open in September. Interns commit to 20 hours per week, work on-site at least three days per week, and attend full-day Tuesdays. No vacation is permitted during the internship.
