Who Can Apply: Artists aged 18 or over from anywhere in the world.
The Focus: Contemporary work in pastel and other dry media (charcoal, chalk, pencil, conté and similar) for the Pastel Society's 128th Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries, London, on the theme of colour.
The Funding: Prizes and awards worth over £5,000, including three £1,000 cash prizes. Entry costs £22 per work, or £14.50 per work for artists aged 35 or under (non-refundable). All work must be for sale (minimum £400) at 45% commission plus VAT. Artists pay delivery and collection.
Key Requirements: Submit online via OESS: up to six original works completed within two years and not previously shown at Mall Galleries. Each work needs one full image (JPEG or PNG, under 5MB) plus up to two optional detail images, and the title, medium, size, year and price. Works must not exceed 2.4m and must be framed with picture glass unless an exception applies.

Application notesArtists may submit up to six works, from which up to four per artist may be selected. Works must be original, completed within two years prior to the exhibition, and not previously exhibited at Mall Galleries. Works should not exceed 2.4m along their longest dimension. All work must be for sale with minimum price £400. International artists must register for a UK VAT number if selected to exhibit and sell work. Works should be delivered unwrapped with relevant forms and labels on Saturday 16 January 2027, 10am-5pm. Collection of unsold work: Thursday 11 February 2027, 10am-5pm. Uncollected works will be stored at artist's expense; if not collected within 12 months, gallery may destroy, sell, or dispose of works without consent or compensation. Post-selection obligations: if selected, deliver work unwrapped on Saturday 16 January 2027
