  • The Focus: Contemporary and innovative work in pastel and other dry media, celebrating colour as subject, expression and connection
  • The Funding: More than £5,000 in prizes and awards. Entry costs £22 per work (£14.50 for artists aged 35 or under); all work must be for sale, with 45% commission plus VAT.
  • Key Requirements: Submit up to six original works in pastel, charcoal, pencil, or other dry media completed within two years upload JPEG or PNG images under 5MB provide title, medium, size, year of completion, and price per work

Application notesArtists may submit up to six works, from which up to four per artist may be selected. Works must be original, completed within two years prior to the exhibition, and not previously exhibited at Mall Galleries. Works should not exceed 2.4m along their longest dimension. All work must be for sale with minimum price £400. International artists must register for a UK VAT number if selected to exhibit and sell work. Works should be delivered unwrapped with relevant forms and labels on Saturday 16 January 2027, 10am-5pm. Collection of unsold work: Thursday 11 February 2027, 10am-5pm. Uncollected works will be stored at artist's expense; if not collected within 12 months, gallery may destroy, sell, or dispose of works without consent or compensation. Post-selection obligations: if selected, deliver work unwrapped on Saturday 16 January 2027
