Application notesApplicants must submit work samples according to their discipline (e.g., 10-15 images for visual artists, up to 10 pages for literary artists). Two references are required, and they will receive an automatic form to complete. Collaborative teams must apply individually. The application includes short answer questions about the applicant's practice and proposed project. The application portal runs via SlideRoom. Fee waivers are available but must be requested via email by June 28, 2026. Two references are required; reference forms must be submitted by the recommenders by July 19, 2026. Note: This is an intensely remote, self-directed environment on the high desert playa. The facilities are explicitly not child- or family-friendly; overnight guests and pets are strictly prohibited.
