  • Who Can Apply: Emerging and early-career artists aged 18+ who are Australian citizens or permanent residents with an Australian bank account, across all art forms including visual arts. As a guide, the Trust counts artists within about 10 years of their first formal arts qualification. Anyone who received or acquitted a Trust grant in the last two years cannot apply.
  • The Focus: Structured professional development, mainly overseas: residencies, mentorships, study tours, masterclasses, internships, conferences and workshops for travel or projects after 1 April 2027. Projects in Australia are funded only in exceptional circumstances; projects whose sole purpose is an exhibition, performance or making a work are ineligible.
