2026-27 Creative Western Sydney Micro-Grants Program
- Who Can Apply: Individuals (18+, Australian citizens/permanent residents, with an NSW-registered ABN in their name or administered by an eligible organisation), unincorporated collectives administered by an eligible organisation (all members 18+; majority in Western Sydney) and small-to-medium organisations (turnover ≤ $2.5M), each with a residence or business address in one of 13 named Western Sydney LGAs.
- The Focus: Funding for creative development, presentation, collaboration and professional development projects in Western Sydney (not film/TV or contemporary music).
- The Funding: Grants of $3,000-$5,000 for individuals/collectives and $5,000-$10,000 for small-to-medium organisations (AUD, exclusive of GST).
- Key Requirements: Complete the SmartyGrants application form addressing eligibility and all four equally weighted assessment criteria (artistic merit, benefit to Western Sydney's creative ecology, alignment with program outcomes and equity priorities, feasibility with budget and milestones), and attach required supporting documents in the requested format.

Application notesSubmit via the Create NSW SmartyGrants portal by 2:00pm Monday 2 November 2026. New applicants must register for a SmartyGrants account. One application per applicant will be assessed; local councils and other auspicing organisations may administer multiple applications. Late applications may be considered at Create NSW's discretion for technical difficulties or extenuating circumstances; contact arts.funding@create.nsw.gov.au by 3pm on the closing date.
