  • Who Can Apply: Open to artists and artist teams age 18 or older who currently reside in the Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State region.
  • The Focus: Create an interactive, hands-on installation for the Rosenthal Education Center inspired by the Cincinnati Art Museum's collection.
  • The Funding: Receives a $2,700 artist payment ($1,500 honorarium + $1,200 for six drop-in sessions) plus a $5,000 budget for design, fabrication, engineering, and installation.
  • Key Requirements: Cover letter, two-page résumé, two-page proposal with design drawings and timeline, list of at least three professional references, up to ten JPG images of previous work, and an annotated image list.

Application notesAll materials must be submitted electronically to alex.callon@cincyart.org or via a Google Drive/Dropbox link; paper applications are not accepted. Email subject line must read: <Artist Name> 2027 Rosenthal Education Center Artist in Residency Proposal Submission. Include cover letter, two-page résumé, proposal with design drawings and timeline (max two pages), at least three professional references, up to ten JPG images of previous work, and an annotated image list. Incomplete or incorrectly filed submissions may be disqualified. Artists are strongly encouraged to visit the REC before proposing; no responsibility is accepted for costs incurred in responding.
