2026 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Craft/Sculpture

Open to craft and sculpture artists age 25 and older who have resided in New York State, or in one of the Tribal Nations located therein, for the two consecutive years preceding application, this nationally recognized fellowship supports original makers working in ceramics, glass, wood, metal, fiber, textiles, jewelry, mixed media, kinetic work, installation, and related forms. Administered by New York Foundation for the Arts in the United States, the program advances artistic excellence through an unrestricted award that affirms accomplished creative practice rather than project-based production, offering notable professional recognition within a competitive peer-reviewed statewide fellowship framework. Recipients receive an $8,000 unrestricted cash grant, with applications evaluated on artistic merit, clarity and cohesiveness, and originality through a multi-round panel process culminating in the selection of fellows and finalists.
