← ExploreOpen to digital and electronic artists age 25 and older who have maintained residency in New York State or in one of the Tribal Nations located therein for the previous two consecutive years, this nationally recognized fellowship supports originators of technology-based work, including algorithmic art, interactive installations, internet projects, AI-engaged practices, and related image, text, audio, and video forms. The program advances artists at a professional stage beyond degree study by offering an unrestricted award that affirms artistic excellence and enables recipients to sustain or deepen ambitious bodies of completed work rather than propose new projects. Fellows receive a one-time $8,000 cash grant through the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship program, with applications reviewed through a panel process centered on submitted work samples, artistic statements, and, where relevant, cultural context.
