← ExploreOpen to printmakers, drawing artists, and book artists age 25 and older who are current residents of New York State or one of the Tribal Nations located therein and who have maintained that residency for the two previous consecutive years, this state fellowship supports individual artists and eligible collaborations of up to three people working in visual media such as artist’s books, aquatints, collages, engravings, etchings, lithographs, monotypes, serigraphs, woodcuts, cut paper, and drawing. The program functions as a highly regarded unrestricted fellowship that advances artistic practice through direct financial support, recognizing demonstrated artistic merit, clarity of vision, and originality rather than funding a proposed project. Fellows receive an $8,000 unrestricted cash award, with applications reviewed through a multi-round peer panel process culminating in the selection of fellows and finalists. The opportunity is designed for non-student originators of the submitted work and excludes recent NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship recipients within the past five years as well as artists who have reached emeritus status after five prior awards.
