Who Can Apply: Artists, scientists, or other professionals whose work bridges boundaries, connects disciplines, or utilizes various media; individuals or groups up to two.
The Focus: This residency supports projects focused on uniting, connecting, and bridging conceptual, social, or political divides. Residents work freely in Štúrovo, Slovakia, on the border with Hungary.
The Funding: The program provides free accommodation, a studio, and a monthly stipend of €450 for living costs.
Key Requirements: Applicants must submit a CV, work samples, and a project description. A daily log, community engagement, and artwork donation are required.
Application notesApplications are accepted on a rolling basis via email (max 2MB) or post. Applicants must provide a brief CV with a photograph, samples of previous work, a project description explaining its relevance to the residency's aims, the reason for applying, any special equipment needs, and the desired length and dates of stay (3-6 months). Duties for accepted residents include keeping a daily bridge log, engaging with local children and students, holding one public event (exhibition or performance), and donating one piece of art to the residency's collection.
