Who Can Apply: Mid-career to advanced professionals who have already demonstrated exceptional creative ability in the arts or productive scholarship. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Canada. Students (undergraduate or graduate) are strictly not eligible
The Focus: The fellowship provides grants to allow exceptional individuals the dedicated time and freedom to engage in research or artistic creation under the freest possible conditions.
The Funding: Varies greatly based on need, but typically ranges from $25,000 to over $100,000 (averaging around $40,000 - $55,000) of unrestricted funding.
Key Requirements: A project proposal, a career narrative, a list of works, work samples (usually submitted later in October or November), and 3 to 4 reference letters. Application will open later this Summer and Final Deadline will be announced (likely to land around Mid-September).
