Open to California-based artists, creatives, cultural practitioners, and cultural producers, as well as staff members of nonprofit arts organizations based in San Francisco or San José, this micro-grant supports practitioners across disciplines who seek targeted professional development rather than project production support. The program advances administrative capacity, business acumen, advocacy knowledge, and long-term financial resilience through modest but highly flexible funding that enables recipients to pursue workshops, conferences, festivals, trainings, and consultative learning opportunities. Awardees may receive up to $600 for eligible expenses including registration fees, travel and hotel costs, local transportation, caregiving expenses, and fees for consultants, coaches, mentors, or facilitators when the activity delivers a clear educational benefit.
