- The Focus: This RFQ establishes a pre-qualified roster of creators to be considered for future permanent, temporary, and digital public art commissions across the expansive Los Angeles Metro transit system. The resulting artworks aim to enhance the daily commuter experience through site-responsive designs that celebrate and reflect the deep cultural diversity of Los Angeles County.
- The Funding: There is no upfront cash award for joining the pool; instead, selected artists are awarded individual contracts with project-specific budgets that cover artist fees, fabrication, and installation.
- Key Requirements: Applicants must submit a letter of interest, resume, and up to 10 images of past work.

Application notesTo apply for the Artist Pool, artists must submit an online application which includes a letter of interest (maximum 2,000 characters), a current professional resume (maximum 3 pages), and up to 10 images of completed artwork. Video or audio files can also be submitted. Applications are accepted on an ongoing, rolling basis. The selection process involves a review of submitted materials by a panel of arts professionals. Artists included in the pool will be notified and may be contacted for specific project proposals as opportunities arise. There is no fee to apply.
