Artist Support Grants — Arts & Science Council
  • Who Can Apply: Individual creatives living in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln or Rowan County who maintain an active artistic practice; FY25 grant recipients and full-time undergraduate or graduate students are ineligible
  • The Focus: Professional and artistic development through completion or presentation of new work, career promotion, training, or travel for training and professional conferences
  • The Funding: Up to $3,000; selected applications receive the full amount for which they are eligible
  • Key Requirements: Online Blackbaud application with applicant profile, W-9, résumé, discipline-appropriate work samples and inventory, project questions and budget; optional draft review is available for materials received by August 30

Application notesApplications opened August 10, 2026 and are due September 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET through the program-specific Blackbaud form. An optional draft may be emailed by August 30 at midnight for one staff review. Required components include an applicant profile, W-9, résumé, work samples with an inventory, application questions and a budget. Projects should occur between January 1 and December 31, 2027, and all funds must be spent by June 30, 2028. The current program page says applicants will be notified by Friday, December 4, 2026.
