MacDowell Fellowship (Fall 2027/Winter 2028)

- Who Can Apply: Artists working in any discipline, including visual artists, at any career stage, from anywhere.
- The Focus: A residency of up to 8 weeks at MacDowell in Peterborough, New Hampshire, during the Fall 2027/Winter 2028 season.
- The Funding: A free residency: private studio, accommodation and three meals a day for up to eight weeks. Accepted Fellows can apply for a need-based stipend of up to $1,500 and need-based travel reimbursement. A $30 processing fee applies (hardship waiver available).
- Key Requirements: Apply online when the application opens in mid-January 2027; deadline February 10, 2027. Submit a list of professional achievements, a work sample completed within the past four years, and a project proposal, plus the $30 processing fee. Reference letters are not required.

Application notesApplications are submitted online via SlideRoom. Work samples must have been completed within the last four years. As part of an effort to improve equity and access, reference letters are temporarily not required. Artists may only submit one application every 24 months.
