Who Can Apply: Emerging visual artists and critical writers who have completed their undergraduate or graduate training and are not currently enrolled.
The Focus: This prestigious program fosters critical dialogue and sustainable practice through studio visits with international curators and thinkers. Residents benefit from a dynamic community and dedicated time for research and production, culminating in an annual exhibition.
The Funding: Fellows receive a $100,000 stipend over two years ($50,000 annually) plus a health stipend and a private studio.
Key Requirements: A portfolio of 10 images (artists) or two writing samples (critics), a statement of intent, and a CV.

Application notesApplications are accepted online annually via the museum's portal, typically from September 1 to April 1. There are two distinct tracks: one for visual artists and one for critical writers. Visual artists are required to submit a portfolio of 10 images of recent work, an artist statement of up to 500 words, and a current CV. Critical writers must submit two writing samples, each no more than 2,000 words, a statement of intent up to 500 words, and a CV. Collaborative groups are eligible to apply but must share the single stipend and studio space if accepted. International applicants are welcome.
