Who Can Apply: Artists, designers, and collectives residing in Ontario with a strong contemporary art background and previous exhibition experience.
The Focus: This commission seeks a new, site-responsive artwork to be suspended in the gallery's atrium for a two-year exhibition. The work should animate the space and create a dynamic, welcoming encounter for visitors, responding to the site's context.
The Funding: A total, all-inclusive project budget of $35,000 CAD is provided to cover all associated costs including artist fees.
Key Requirements: Submissions require a single PDF containing an expression of interest, design proposal, CV, work samples, and two references.

Application notesProposals must be submitted as a single PDF via email. The submission must include: 1. An Expression of Interest (max 2 pages). 2. A Design Proposal with up to 5 images (drawings, mock-ups). 3. A CV (max 5 pages). 4. Work Samples of 2-3 relevant projects with details on title, location, overview, role, budget, and duration (max 1 page). 5. Contact information for two references. The artwork must not exceed 400lbs, must have its lowest point no lower than 12 feet above the lobby floor, and any electrical components must be CSA certified (120V max). Materials should be fire-resistant and not be compromised by UV exposure.
