Who Can Apply: Practicing artists over 21, at any career stage, who can legally work in the US and live 120+ miles from Knoxville.
The Focus: This residency provides a transformative, process-oriented experience for artists to create new work. The program offers a retreat-style environment on ninety acres of woodland in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Funding: This fully-funded residency provides free room and board, an $850 weekly stipend, a travel subsidy, and shipping reimbursement.
Key Requirements: Applicants must submit work samples specific to their discipline and provide two professional references.

Application notesApplications are accepted annually from June 1 to July 15. All applicants must provide two professional references. Work sample requirements vary by discipline. Visual artists submit 8 images (plus optional video). Poets submit up to 15 pages. Fiction/nonfiction writers submit up to 20 pages. Music composers submit up to 15 minutes of audio/video and an optional score. Interdisciplinary artists may submit a mix of media.
