  • Who Can Apply: Early-career visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors, performance artists, and interdisciplinary artists with recognized extraordinary promise. U.S. citizenship not required. Ph.D. holders from Princeton and past Hodder Fellowship recipients are ineligible.
  • The Focus: Two-year teaching and artistic residency at a vibrant university community, with light teaching load and opportunity to develop artistic practice while engaging with undergraduate students.
  • The Funding: $93,000 annual stipend for two consecutive academic years (September–July).
  • Key Requirements: Submit CV, one reference contact, work samples, and a 750-word proposal on how you will develop your work, what you might teach, and your approach to community building. Teaching or artistic assignment expected; cannot hold concurrent teaching positions elsewhere during fellowship.
