Housing: On-campus housing options: Double with bath ($1,220), Quad with bath ($1,050), Double near central bath ($814), Triple near central bath ($576), Dorm near central bath ($417), or Day Student off-campus ($365). Housing not guaranteed for Open Call applicants.Full-time commitment

Who Can Apply: Open to all artists and would-be artists age 18+; beginners in the offered workshop medium are prioritized; those with previous experience in other media or limited experience in the specific workshop medium are welcome.
The Focus: Introductory instruction in craft disciplines (blacksmithing, ceramics, fiber, graphics, metals, wood, writing, digital fabrication) in a supportive beginner-only cohort.
Cost: Tuition $842 + Room & Board $365–$1,220 + Shop Fees $5–$80; $300 non-refundable deposit by April 3, 2026; full balance due May 6, 2026.
Key Requirements: Must be 18+; application through StarRez portal; lottery-based selection for general application; Open Call first-come, first-served; $300 non-refundable deposit by April 3, 2026; full balance due May 6, 2026.

Application notesApplicants must be 18+. General application (closed Feb 20, 2026) used lottery system. Open Call (rolling, no deadline) was first-come, first-served for remaining workshop seats. Applicants indicate workshop choice on application. Enrollment in each studio is limited. If previously applied and not accepted, email registrar@haystack-mtn.org to request Open Call consideration. Notifications for general application sent March 27, 2026; Open Call notifications sent 2 weeks from submission. Cancellation deadline May 6, 2026. Roommate requests available on application. Physical or mobility concerns should be noted on application.
