- Who Can Apply: Creative professionals and researchers across disciplines (visual art, writing, music, dance, research and more), from seasoned professionals to enthusiastic hobbyists. Collaborative teams may apply.
- The Focus: A remote, fly-in wilderness residency at Chulitna Lodge on Lake Clark, Alaska. It has a wood shop, some printmaking and digital-photo tools, recording space and a library, but no ceramics facilities.
- The Funding: The Fellowship has no fee and covers room and board, a travel stipend, and the charter flight from Anchorage for a 6-week session. The separate Resident Artist option costs $950–$1,900 per week. Application fee: $35.
- Key Requirements: Apply on SlideRoom in one of five tracks (Visual Arts, Photo/Film/Video/Media, Performing Arts, Writing, Research) by November 28, 2026. Each needs a statement of intent, tools/space needs, and 1–20 media files (0–20 for Writing; writing samples under 2,000 words, or 500 words each if several). An artist statement and up to 2 references are optional.

The form asks whether you are applying for a fellowship, a residency, or both, and whether as a collaborative team. Family, partners or assistants may join for a fee, case by case. The lodge is 180 miles from the nearest road with fly-in access only.
