Alkmaar Maakt Het! Development Grant (Subsidie Alkmaar maakt het! – Ontwikkelsubsidie)
- Who Can Apply: Professional makers in any art form (completed professional arts training or a current professional practice) and cultural organisations; you need not live in Alkmaar, but the project must be carried out at least partly in the municipality of Alkmaar
- The Focus: Preparing or researching a new or innovative cultural project that matters for culture in Alkmaar, e.g. a script, a feasibility study, a business plan or preliminary research
- The Funding: The artist receives up to €2,000 to prepare the project; available only while the annual budget lasts
- Key Requirements: Download and complete the Ontwikkelbijdrage format and the budget format, log in to the municipal subsidy portal with eHerkenning and upload them; if the project fits, you pitch it (about 45 minutes, online) to one committee member and two culture officials. Applications are accepted year-round and handled immediately

Application notesDownload the Ontwikkelbijdrage format and Begroting (budget) format from the municipal page, fill them in, log in to the subsidy portal with eHerkenning, complete the form and upload the documents; you receive a confirmation within a few days. A development application is handled immediately: a date is set for an online pitch of about 45 minutes with one advisory committee member and two municipal culture officials. Organisations applying for the first time also send a Chamber of Commerce registration and statutes.
