Calgary Arts Development Art Bus RFQ 2027
- Who Can Apply: Artists in any career stage and any artistic discipline living in Calgary/Mohkinsstsis; residency waiver for First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists practising in the Treaty 7 region. Excludes past Art Bus (2023–2026) and Centre City Banners (2023–2028) selectees.
- The Focus: Up to seven artists/collectives create new original artwork to wrap the exterior of Calgary Transit buses, plus interior reproductions of pre-existing work, around one of four themes.
- Compensation: $9,000 (not including GST) all-inclusive per original design, plus four books of transit tickets.
- Key Requirements: Letter of Interest answering five questions (250 words max each), a CV, and 5–10 JPEG images of existing finished artworks (minimum 72 dpi, under 2 GB total) with title, date, size, materials and description.

Application notesApply by 1 pm MT on the deadline date. A finished proposal is not required — applicants select one of four themes and describe their initial approach. Image files must be JPEG, minimum 72 dpi, maximum 10 images and 2 GB total. Selected artists must have basic Adobe Photoshop knowledge and deliver 900 PPI CMYK .tif/.eps files; printing, installation and maintenance of the wrap and interiors are managed separately by Calgary Arts Development.
