Housing: Private room with bed, hammock, mosquito net, linens, towel; five bedrooms with toilet and shower available
  • Who Can Apply: Artists with academic education and three years of independent professional practice; young artists and students can apply for dedicated young participants program; returning residents can apply for project residency or former participants residency
  • The Focus: Individual artistic experimentation and cultural exchange in a rural Surinamese setting; artists develop new work and strengthen international networks
  • Cost: €45 per day covers accommodation, meals (3/day), workspace, laundry, cook services, and compound use; host provides exhibition (costs, space, publicity, opening), outdoor workspace, water, and excursions
  • Key Requirements: Academic education and three years independent professional practice required; application includes online form, 3-4 years work documentation, workplan, up to 10 images, €15 registration fee

Application notesAn international selection committee assesses applications based on documentation of last 3-4 years' work and motivation/workplan. Participants can have a regular residency only once; returning possible through project residency or residency for former participants. Young artists/students have dedicated program. Complete application requires: online form with all required items, requested documentation, workplan, visual documentation (up to 10 images), €15 registration fee.
