Housing: Private cottage (Cramer House) on campus with queen bed, full kitchen, bathroom, studio space, washer/dryer; utilities and internet included
  • Who Can Apply: Open to artists of any discipline and career stage, 18 years or older, who are US citizens and reside in the United States
  • The Focus: Creating artistic work in an inspirational setting while enhancing local community engagement through public programming and artist talks
  • The Funding: $2000 stipend for 8-week residency or $3000 for 12-week residency; free housing in private cottage, utilities, and internet included
  • Key Requirements: Portfolio or work samples (CV/résumé, website, or links), two professional references, artist statement (why you want to be in residence), artistic goals for the residency, examples of proposed community engagement activities, $25 application fee

Application notesPets not allowed in Cramer House. Artists must obtain background check prior to residency. Residencies available in Winter (Jan-Mar), Summer (Jun-Aug), and Fall (Sep-Nov). Application window June 1 – August 31 for following calendar year. Chosen artists notified by October 31. Artists responsible for own travel to Granville, Ohio (30 minutes east of Columbus). Bike available for use. Parking spot provided. No transportation available; Uber/Lyft available in town. Village downtown approximately 2 miles away; grocery store approximately 2.5 miles away. Campus may host events (weddings, cross country groups) during residency. All artists expected to provide minimum 2 community engagement activities per month (e.g., poetry reading, performance, artist talk, gallery show, workshop).
