Beast Artist in Residence
Housing: Fully furnished brick house with open living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, additional toilet, utilities (heat, Wi-Fi, electricity), bedding, washing machine, bike, and large garden area. Artists can stay alone, with family, or share with another selected artist.Family-friendly
- Who Can Apply: Open to artists worldwide in all fields, with a special focus on photography; Ukrainian artists are additionally eligible for a 2027 funding grant
- The Focus: Production residency offering time to focus on existing projects or explore new ones in an isolated, nature-rich setting with access to local art networks
- Cost: Free accommodation and studio space; artist self-funds travel, food, and materials. Ukrainian artists (2027) may also receive a Nordic Culture Point grant: €1,000 fee + up to €200 travel + €200 materials
- Key Requirements: Artist statement (max 500 words), project proposal (max 500 words), CV/resume (max one page), digital portfolio or 5–10 representative works, practical information including special needs

Application notesApplications must be compiled into a single PDF and sent to beast.bornholm@gmail.com. Applicants must indicate preferred stay months (January–May or October–December 2027) and choose between entire house rental or shared house. Optional nature tours, community introductions, and introduction to local art community and institutions provided. While artists may give an open studio talk or workshop, this is entirely optional.
