Who Can Apply: Individuals, groups or corporations with an address or activity base in Shiga, plus managers of public cultural halls and arts venues there, may propose projects; municipalities and ordinance-defined criminal groups cannot apply.
The Focus: Co-produce public arts and cultural events in Shiga from May 1, 2027 to February 20, 2028, connecting regional resources and communities; total project costs must reach JPY 500,000.
The Funding: Up to JPY 1,500,000 covers eligible costs minus project income, generally paid after reporting. Applicants provide working capital and cover costs beyond the contribution.
Key Requirements: Register using the guidelines’ QR form and email proposal Form 1, budget Form 2 and explanatory materials. One project per applicant is allowed; interviews may follow. Forms 3 and 4 are required after provisional selection, rather than with the initial proposal.
