CALQ Strategic Opportunities and Career Plan Grant (Opportunités stratégiques et plan de carrière)
- Who Can Apply: Professional artists and recognized independent curators who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and have ordinarily lived in Québec for at least 12 months.
- The Focus: Unusual projects that are decisive for career planning and development and for making use of the artist's work.
- The Funding: Up to CAD 100,000 per year; support may be granted over several years.
- Key Requirements: Submit project-description and personal-information forms plus the budget/timeline spreadsheet by WeTransfer before starting; the whole project must fall outside other grant streams.

Application notesBefore the project starts, submit the project-description and personal-information Word forms plus the budget/timeline Excel file by WeTransfer following the project form's delivery instructions. The program is not yet available through Mon dossier CALQ. The whole project must be ineligible under the other streams; CALQ recommends checking eligibility with Nancy Laferrière at nancy.laferriere@calq.gouv.qc.ca. Students need an institution letter separating the project from their studies. The files could not be read, so exact recipient, samples and text/file limits remain unverified.
