City of Bruges Impulse Subsidy for Culture (Impulssubsidie cultuur) — Stad Brugge
  • Who Can Apply: Individual artists who live in Bruges or have a studio there (artist status not required; heirs or friends' groups may apply for an artist's legacy), and Bruges-based non-profit arts and culture organisations. Structurally funded organisations may apply only to support new talent or work with Bruges-area artists.
  • The Focus: Time-limited cultural projects (max 18 months) that boost creation and production with extra support for young talent, reach groups for whom cultural participation is not self-evident, or care for and open up the legacy of Bruges artists and makers. Disciplines include music, theatre, dance, heritage, film, photography, circus, contemporary visual art, literature, architecture and design.
  • The Funding: Up to €7,500 per project, paid 70% in advance and 30% afterwards; at least 25% of the project cost must come from other income.
  • Key Requirements: Email the application form (with contact details and bank account), a detailed project description (template provided), a budget of expenses and income (template provided) and, for partnerships, a collaboration form to cultuurcoach@brugge.be by a quarterly deadline (next: 15 December 2026 for projects starting from 15 March 2027).
