City of Bruges Project Subsidy for Cultural Activities (Projectsubsidie culturele activiteit)
- Who Can Apply: Individuals (natural persons), informal associations and non-profit organisations organising a public cultural activity in Bruges. Government bodies, educational institutions, for-profit organisations and graduation projects are excluded, as are projects funded by another Bruges city service.
- The Focus: Time-limited, publicly accessible cultural, artistic, socio-artistic or heritage activities on Bruges territory that are not part of the organiser's regular operations.
- The Funding: Up to €3,000 per project, capped at the project's shortfall (expenses minus other income); the organiser's own wage costs are not covered. Paid 70% in advance and 30% after the activity.
- Key Requirements: Email the application form (contact details and bank account), a detailed project description (template provided) and a budget of expenses and income (template provided) to cultuurcoach@brugge.be by a quarterly deadline (next: 15 December 2026 for projects starting from 15 March 2027), at least 12 weeks and at most 12 months before the start date.

Application notesDownload the application form and templates from the page. Email the application to cultuurcoach@brugge.be. The activity must be publicly accessible and take place on Bruges territory. Projects organized by government bodies, educational institutions, for-profit organizations, or students as graduation projects are not eligible. Projects already receiving another Bruges city-department subsidy, commercial projects, or regular activities of recognized Bruges cultural associations with operating subsidies are excluded.
