Hong Kong Arts Development Council Cultural Exchange Project Grant
- Who Can Apply: Individual artists holding a Hong Kong identity card and aged 18+, or registered Hong Kong arts organisations.
- The Focus: Cultural exchange projects held outside Hong Kong: performances, exhibitions, festivals, recognised competitions, conferences, residencies/short-term training with public deliverables, publications and screenings.
- The Funding: Trial Version up to HK$150,000 (travel, freight, insurance, video only); General Version up to HK$500,000; organisations up to HK$800,000.
- Key Requirements: Application form by email plus formal invitation from the overseas presenter/host (mandatory), programme details and schedule, applicant and host profiles, budget. Visual arts exhibitions: work samples of at least half the exhibits per artist. Per diem max HK$500/person/day.

General Version: up to HK$500,000 for individuals and organisations (all project expenditure except excluded items); up to HK$800,000 for experienced organisations only. Per diem capped at HK$500 per person per day and HK$25,000 per project.

Application notesApplications are submitted by email to grants@hkadc.org.hk (application form attached; supporting materials via share link) no later than 6pm on the closing date. Read the Cultural Exchange Project Grant Assessment Guidelines and Information for Project Grant Applicants first. Applications must be submitted before the project commencement date (departure from Hong Kong). Projects must be held outside Hong Kong; attending only as participant/observer or in learning workshops is not supported.
