Application notesApplications are submitted via the Mondriaan Fund's online application system (a 3-month processing period applies; no grants are awarded retrospectively). The grant cannot be used to finance study, for regular work, or for production such as of a publication or exhibition, or for cultural-historical/organisational archival research. It may not be used for a working period in a guest studio offered in the Mondriaan Fund's Residency programme. Collaborative applications are possible; each participant submits their own application and each is assessed individually, and the collaborative plan must lead to a single result. A curator or art observer can receive a contribution covering time investment for no more than 24 months within any 48-month period, and a rejection on 'quality and development of working practice' bars reapplication for 12 months.
