- The Focus: Submissions for CURRENTS 2027 Art & Technology Festival across installations, audio experiences, VR/AR/MR, robotics/kinetic, multimedia performance, fabrication/wearables, and experimental video/animation.
- The Funding: Selected artists may receive travel, lodging, shipping, and equipment support (not guaranteed, dependent on need and available funding).
- Key Requirements: One online form and fee per entry: name, residence, category, title, year and duration; a link where the work can be viewed online (website, YouTube, Vimeo or Google, with password if needed); bio and work statement of up to 1,000 characters each (note any AI use); PDF description of the work; CV as PDF; 2–3 JPG stills of 2–4 MB each, labelled with title and artist; floor plan or display description; PDF equipment lists (what you supply and what you need). Single-channel video, documentary and animation must be 12 minutes or less.

Application notesWorks in progress are accepted if samples demonstrate a strong body of work. Multiple entries are welcome in one or more categories, but each entry requires a separate form and fee. Fee waivers are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to artists experiencing financial difficulties; contact the festival to request a waiver. Use of AI as a creative tool is accepted if disclosed in the Work Statement.
