Delaware County Arts Grant — Individual Artist Grants
- Who Can Apply: Individual practicing artists aged 18 or older who live in Delaware County, NY. Proof of residency with name and address, dated within the previous year, is required. No outside fiscal sponsor or partner is needed.
- The Focus: Commissioning support to create a new series or collection of work in a community setting, engaging the community in the presentation or the development of the work.
- The Funding: $1,500 to $5,000; no financial or in-kind match required.
- Key Requirements: Attend a mandatory information session; email the Creative Opportunities Coordinator with project title, goals, expenses and community involvement to obtain a Letter of Commitment; then submit the online application with the signed letter, proof of residency, artist bio and statement, and work samples.

Application notesOnline application opens October 17, 2026; the link will be on roxburyartsgroup.org under the 'Opportunities' menu (the page also invites Individual Artist applicants to call 607.326.7908). Incomplete or handwritten applications are not reviewed. Step 1: attend a mandatory Grant Information Session (Zoom or in person); a session specific to the Individual Artist category is on Zoom on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 2 pm, and the last session is January 16, 2027. Step 2: email the Creative Opportunities Coordinator (community@roxburyartsgroup.org) with your project title, goals, expenses and how you will involve the community; if the project is considered applicable you receive a Letter of Commitment and Roxbury Arts Group acts as your fiscal sponsor. Step 3: submit the application with these required items: the signed Letter of Commitment with Roxbury Arts Group; proof of Delaware County residency showing your name and address and dated within the previous year (NYS driver's license, ID, utility or telephone bill, mortgage or deed); an artist bio and statement; and work samples, including links to video clips, photography, articles or videos of previous work or events (the guidelines give no number or length limit). Per the guidelines the application should also show an appropriate project budget, a plan in case of partial funding, and how the project fits the 2027 funding priorities. Limits: one applicant may submit up to 3 requests across the three categories, combined maximum $7,500; administrative costs may be at most 25% of the budget; no single item over $1,000; no equipment purchases or out-of-state travel. Optional staff draft review: send the draft link between November 7, 2026 and January 16, 2027. Projects must take place in Delaware County and be completed by December 31, 2027; a final report is due within 30 days of the final event or by December 31, 2027, whichever is sooner. Applications must be mostly written by the applicant, and projects where AI supplants the creative process are ineligible.
