Application notesApplications are typically made via an online form, or as a video/audio application (ideally no more than 15 minutes) emailed to rae@heritagecrafts.org.uk. The form can be saved as you go, though drafting in a separate document is recommended. Shortlisted candidates are usually invited to interview via Zoom. Assessment is by staff, trustees, experienced makers and external craft experts, with emphasis on impact on the endangered craft, not writing skills. Proposed projects or training must typically start within 12 months; training can run over a year. Repeat applications from previous recipients generally cannot be supported, though exceptional circumstances may be considered. For suitability questions, contact rae@heritagecrafts.org.uk well in advance of the deadline.
