  • Who Can Apply: Professional artists in visual or applied arts (visual art, photography, design, craft, illustration, textile art, architecture) who live in Sweden or mainly practice their art in Sweden, and who are not enrolled in studies at more than 50% at the time of decision.
  • The Focus: Develop and deepen your professional visual or applied arts practice with a one-, two-, five- or ten-year working grant. The committee determines the grant’s duration.
  • The Funding: SEK 120,000 per year (one- and two-year, tax-free) or three price base amounts per year (currently SEK 177,600, taxable).
  • Key Requirements: Apply as an individual through the e-service, answering mandatory questions and attaching 5–10 representative samples, preferably from the last two years: JPG up to 2 MB, MP3 up to 20 MB, or MP4/MOV up to 50 MB per file. Paper applications are also possible.

Application notesApply individually through the e-service, complete all mandatory questions and attach 5–10 representative samples, preferably from the last two years. Limits per file: JPG 2 MB, MP3 20 MB, MP4/MOV 50 MB; include title, year, technique, dimensions and description. The committee determines grant duration. Digital applications close at 14:00 on the final day. For paper applications, request a form on 08-506 550 00 and send 5–10 portrait-A4 work images to Konstnärsnämnden, Maria skolgata 83, 2 trappor, 118 53 Stockholm; the application must arrive by the final day.
