Le Creux de l’Enfer and City of Saint-Étienne Territorial Creation Residency (Résidence de création en territoire, appel à candidature)
Travel coveredHousing: Housing provided in Thiers (studio at Le Creux de l’Enfer) for the duration of the residency; accommodation and studio in Saint-Étienne may also be provided.
- Who Can Apply: Artists living and working in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, or artists who graduated from an art school in the region; open to all ages with an emphasis on emerging practice.
- The Focus: A 55-day creation residency immersed in the territory between Thiers and Saint-Étienne, leading to a two-site traveling exhibition.
- The Funding: €2,400 residency allocation incl. tax (honoraria, travel and meals); €2,000 production budget; €1,200 exhibition rights per show; housing provided in Thiers.
- Key Requirements: Completed application form, project dossier, portfolio with visuals and descriptions, up-to-date CV, proof of professional status (URSSAF registration or equivalent), social security number, SIRET or invoicing document, civil liability insurance certificate, and work media if applicable; all as a single A4 landscape PDF (max 6 MB) emailed before the deadline.

Include the completed application form with postal/correspondence address; dossier describing the territorial artistic project; portfolio of work/exhibition visuals with project descriptions; current CV; URSSAF Limousin registration or equivalent proof of professional status; social security number; SIRET number or administrative/tax proof of ability to issue invoices; and civil liability insurance certificate. Short works or extracts may be presented as photos on DVD, CD or USB where relevant. A final video interview may be held.
