Who Can Apply: Individual emerging Brisbane artists/creative workers with less than ten years of professional practice, Australian citizenship or permanent residency, age 17+, and a Brisbane-linked ABN or eligible auspice.
The Focus: Structured professional development for individual artists and creative workers, including training, mentoring, residencies and industry programs.
The Funding: Up to $10,000 (GST exclusive) per application; a cash or in-kind co-contribution is required.
Key Requirements: SmartyGrants form with limited narratives, four-page CV, work samples, provider details and confirmation, timeline, support evidence, permissions where needed, and a balanced GST-exclusive AUD budget with co-contribution. Confirm the contradictory 3am/3pm closing times; current quotes are required for funded costs over $500.

Supply personal/alternate-contact, auspice, ABN and banking details; previous grants (50 words if applicable); title (10 words); activity pitch (40); dates and destinations (300); and earliest relevant qualification/practice-start year. Creative-practice statement: 200 words maximum. Attach current CV (four pages maximum, DOC/PDF). Work samples: up to three URLs, five images and five minutes of audio/video total; alternatively up to five files, 5MB each (MP4/QuickTime/Windows Media video; MP3/Windows Media audio; JPEG/PowerPoint/PDF images; DOC/PDF documents). Describe the development/provider and fit (250 words); development needs (250); and anticipated career impact (250). Supply provider name, CV or course program, website and activity confirmation if available; confirmation is required if funded. Include timeline, feasibility/support letters, funding/in-kind evidence and cultural permissions if applicable; support notes: 50 words. Acknowledgement: 30–100 words. Provide balanced GST-exclusive AUD budget, co-contribution, evidence for all funded costs and quotes no older than six months for costs over $500; budget notes: 100 words. Include applicable auspice documents and guardian consent/co-signature at age 17, then certification and Review & Submit. Confirm the 3am/3pm deadline discrepancy with Council on 3403 8888.
