City of Hillsboro Mural Program – 2027 Mural Idea Application (Mural Funding)

- Who Can Apply: Anyone in the community with a mural idea; artists seeking funding or other support for a mural project; and property owners, business owners or community organizations. Mural projects must be within the City of Hillsboro, Oregon.
- The Focus: Annual application to suggest a wall, request a connection to an artist, property owner or wall, or request City funding for a new mural in Hillsboro, with a focus on the Cultural Arts District and historically underserved areas.
- The Funding: Funding support of up to $20,000 per project; total annual mural funding could range from $10,000 to $30,000. No guarantee of funding.
- Key Requirements: Online form: applicant information and a description of the mural idea and the support needed (required); location, property-owner, funding, artist and design details are optional. Applications reviewed in February/March 2027; funded murals are expected to be painted by the end of the calendar year.
