Museum Educator

Who Can Apply: Candidates with a B.A./M.A./M.F.A. in art history, contemporary art, American studies, or museum education; 3+ years teaching experience including work with K–12 students and teachers; strong organizational and communication skills; knowledge of educational and developmental theory; passion for modern and contemporary art; flexible and able to work well in groups; interest in working with diverse students.
The Focus: Teaching K–12 school programs, developing professional development workshops for NYC teachers, training freelance educators, and creating curriculum and resource materials for gallery and studio programs.
Compensation: $71,000 annual salary; medical, dental, vision, 403(b), generous PTO, commuter benefits, museum admissions, pet insurance, Citibike discount.
