NeverAtHome Austrian Cultural Forums Open Call
Travel coveredHousing: Accommodation covered for the period required for the presentation at the selected Cultural Forum
- Who Can Apply: Artists and creative practitioners whose primary residence is in Austria (Austrian citizenship not required), applying individually or as a duo; larger collectives are not eligible
- The Focus: Creating a new work in dialogue with one of 27 Austrian Cultural Forum destinations, presented there in 2027 and in a group exhibition in Vienna in 2028
- Compensation: Each selected project receives €6,700 (taxes included, per project) for the artist fee and all production costs, plus travel and accommodation for the presentation trip
- Key Requirements: Apply in English via the online form on the call website by November 30, 2026: preferred 2027 quarter(s), project proposal (max. 1,000 characters), short bio (max. 1,000 characters), portfolio with CV (PDF, max. 10 pages), project proposal with budget (PDF, max. 5 pages) and an artist portrait

Application notesApply via the 'Apply now' online upload form on culturalforums.never-at-home.at. Applications must be in English. Choose a first-choice destination (and optionally a second choice) from the 27 Cultural Forums. Required: preferred presentation quarter(s) in 2027, project proposal (max. 1,000 characters), short biography (max. 1,000 characters), portfolio including CV (PDF, max. 10 pages, 15 MB), project proposal including budget (PDF, max. 5 pages, 15 MB) and a high-resolution artist portrait (JPG, max. 5 MB). A local partner is not required; include a letter of intent if you have one. Selected artists must travel to the destination for the presentation and take part in the 2028 Vienna group exhibition.
