Nicole Love Hendrickson Artway Public Art Installation
- Who Can Apply: Artists in any location working in 2D, 3D, interdisciplinary, experiential or other placemaking-focused media who can attend the required site visits and project activities. Artists with Gwinnett County connections are strongly encouraged but not required.
- The Focus: A public art and placemaking installation for the stairway, wall and surrounding grass areas connecting the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce to Gas South Arena at Gas South District in Duluth, Georgia.
- Compensation: Three finalists each receive a $1,500 concept stipend. One artist receives the commission, with an anticipated all-inclusive budget of $20,000-$40,000 for final design, fabrication and installation.
- Key Requirements: Email one PDF to chris@creategwinnett.org by noon on November 17, 2026 containing contact information, artist discipline, a statement of interest (max 500 words), a relevant experience statement (max 500 words), up to 5 examples of completed work with details, and a resume or CV. Do not submit project concepts.

PayAnticipated budget of $20,000-$40,000 for final design and installation, awarded to one artist. The budget is all-inclusive: the final contract amount may include artist fees, final design development, materials, fabrication, engineering if required, transportation, site preparation associated with the artwork, installation, and other costs necessary to complete the work. Separately, three finalists each receive a $1,500 stipend to develop a site-specific concept and take part in an interview/presentation.

Application notesEmail a single PDF to chris@creategwinnett.org with the subject line "Nicole Love Hendrickson Artway Artist RFQ - [Artist Name]" by noon on November 17, 2026. The PDF must contain: (1) Basic information: name, city/state, email, phone number, website and/or social media if applicable. (2) Artist discipline: 2D, 3D, Interdisciplinary, Experiential or Other. (3) Statement of interest, no more than 500 words, covering your artistic practice, your interest in the project, how your experience or approach would contribute to a unique installation in this space, and your availability to complete the project on schedule. (4) Relevant experience statement, no more than 500 words. (5) Up to 5 examples of completed work, each with project or artwork title, location if applicable, year, medium/materials, a brief description, and your role if collaborators were involved; samples may be images within the PDF or clearly identified portfolio links. (6) Current artist resume or CV. Do NOT submit project concepts or site-specific proposals at this stage. Questions are due November 13, 2026 to Chris Cannon at chris@creategwinnett.org. Finalists announced January 8, 2027; installation is expected to begin in April 2027.
