Ontario Arts Council Accessibility Fund: Project Support

Ontario Arts Council Accessibility Fund: Project Support — Ontario Arts Council
  • Who Can Apply: Ontario-based Deaf or disability-identifying artists, groups with Deaf or disabled members, and eligible incorporated Deaf/disability-led nonprofits may apply. Individual applicants must also meet the associated OAC project program's rules.
  • The Focus: Supplementary support removes accessibility barriers faced by grant recipients and participating artists while carrying out an OAC-funded project, rather than covering audience access or artist fees.
  • The Funding: Up to CAD $5,000 per project is available, capped at 50% of the associated project grant award. Requests may receive less than the amount sought and must cover eligible accessibility costs.
  • Key Requirements: Use the Accessibility Fund section of an OAC project application in Nova that is Draft, Submitted, Under Review or Awarded. Submit a barrier-removal description of up to 250 words and an accessibility expense breakdown; service quotes are optional.

Application notesApply within a related OAC project grant application in Nova by opening the Accessibility Fund section and clicking 'Request Project Accessibility Support.' You may apply while working on a project grant application, while awaiting results, or after being awarded up to the project end date. If the associated project grant application is withdrawn or unsuccessful, this application is withdrawn. Contact OAC Accessibility Fund staff to confirm eligibility of expenses before submitting. Submit a description of the accessibility barriers and how funding will remove them (maximum 250 words), an accessibility expense breakdown, and optional service quotes. Update your Nova profile first. The request is for barriers faced by the recipient or participating Deaf/disability-identifying artists, collaborators or Elders, rather than audience access.
