Application notesPast winners of other Printed Matter-administered awards (Volume Grant, Shannon Michael Cane Award, Jason Polan Award) are eligible to apply. Entities that are commercially run and exclusively publish client work are not eligible. Imprints connected to established institutions with significant means of support are generally not eligible. Program not suited for imprints predominantly working with fiction, non-fiction, poetry, artwork catalogs, monographs, or limited-edition/hand-crafted books, though innovative hybrid approaches are considered. If unsure of eligibility, contact workgrant@printedmatter.org. Awardees must sign an agreement and provide a one-year update on fund use. US-based winners receive a W9 for tax purposes. Future projects funded by the grant must include a credit line and logo on the publisher's website or project itself. Three copies of books bearing the support credit must be provided to Printed Matter and Wagner Foundation archives.
