  • Who Can Apply: Professional artists and collaborations living in Newfoundland and Labrador for 12 consecutive months, and professional groups active there for one year with at least half their members resident there. Funded travellers must be 18+; full-time students and arts organizations are excluded.
  • The Focus: Travel for unexpected invitations that develop an artistic career: presenting work in a new location, auditions, awards or acting as a resource person at an event. Predictable travel and travel within ongoing projects are excluded.
  • The Funding: Eligible travel costs only, using the most economical route; no fixed award amount is stated, and requests over CAD $4,000 receive extra review. Per diem is up to CAD $49 within NL or CAD $55 outside NL; one grant per 12 months.
  • Key Requirements: Register with ArtsNL online, then submit travel details, a career-relevance/event description of up to 2,000 words, host invitation, full budget and current résumés; groups also need annual accounts. Wait for ArtsNL’s submission confirmation before booking or incurring travel costs.

Wait for ArtsNL’s submission confirmation before bookings/costs; costs before eligibility confirmation remain at your risk. Apply preferably four weeks before departure. One travel grant per 12 months; funded travellers must be 18+. Paper/retroactive applications are ineligible.
