Hong Kong Arts Development Council Project Grant

Who Can Apply: Individual artists aged 18 or above who hold a Hong Kong identity card and whose stay in Hong Kong is not limited by the Director of Immigration, or non-profit arts projects by organisations registered in Hong Kong (registered society or limited company).
The Focus: Arts projects in music, dance, drama, Xiqu, visual arts, film and media arts, literary arts, arts administration, criticism and education, taking place in Hong Kong for Hong Kong audiences.
The Funding: Generally up to HK$700,000 per approved application, subject to art-form grant ceilings; HKADC may award less than requested.
Key Requirements: Completed Project Grant application form plus supporting documents, submitted by the deadline by email to grants@hkadc.org.hk (supporting documents may be sent via a share link), in person, by post or by courier; one application per application period; organisations must provide proof of registration and evidence the project is non-profit making.

Application notesRead the 'Information for Project Grant Applicants' (updated August 2026) and the Assessment Guidelines for your art form before applying. Submit by email to grants@hkadc.org.hk (attach the application form; supporting documents may be sent via a share link), or in person, by post or by courier, arriving by 6:00 pm on the deadline. Late submissions and submissions by fax or digital means other than email will not be processed. An acknowledgement email is sent within six weeks; results are notified by the end of May 2027. Do not include personal data such as your ID-card number in attached materials. Grantees must acknowledge HKADC support in all relevant materials and publicity.
