- Who Can Apply: Professional artists and artist teams residing in the United States (teams must name one lead artist); experience with permanent public art installations is required
- The Focus: A permanent outdoor memorial artwork for Freeport Art Museum's Arts Plaza honoring the legacy of Jack H. Myers
- Compensation: $15,000–$20,000 USD all-inclusive commission (artist fee, design, fabrication, transportation, installation, insurance, engineering); 3–5 finalists each receive a separate $750 proposal honorarium
- Key Requirements: Phase I (qualifications only, no design concepts): a one- to two-page letter of interest, a résumé/CV with public art experience, 10–20 images of completed work with title, date, medium, dimensions, budget, commissioning organization and description, and three professional references. Application notesSubmit a single PDF with all required materials by email to info@freeportartmuseum.org (attention: Jessica J. Modica, Executive Director) with the subject line 'Jack Myers Memorial RFQ'. Phase I asks for qualifications only, not design concepts. Three to five finalists will develop conceptual proposals (site visit or virtual meeting, renderings, material samples, budget and timeline) and present them to the selection committee. Final approval rests with the Freeport Art Museum Board working with the Myers family.
